The venue is in fact a Victorian house turned bed and breakfast. The renovation work was excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and it is not unusual to spot a rabbit and birds during the breakfast on the porch. The breakfast by the way is delicious and clearly cooked carefuly for each guest and not mass produced as in ordinary hotels. The staff is extremely cordial and thoughtful. The house itself is within walking distance from attractions such as the Presidio, the old mission building and the courthouse, and also near State street, where you can find trendy shops. In all, it was the best hotel in my California roadtrip from San Francisco to LA.

The breakfast was 10/10. Very delicious and the service at breakfast was fantastic. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We got in a little early and they even upgraded us! The room was really nice with lots of little touches and the grounds are just beautiful and private. Lots of fountains and well-kept shrubbery. And wine and goodies in the evening! It's also close to beautiful parks and an easy walk to the downtown area. Will be staying here again for sure.

This property is incredible with lots of water features and beautiful gardens. Very private feeling right in the heart of Santa Barbara. Staff greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the grounds and our private facilities. Although our room was small it was very clean and met our needs. Private bathroom across the hall was very, very small but functional. Breakfast was PHENOMENAL and wait staff was exceptional. Would definitely have liked to have spent more time here!

This is a beautiful place to stay! We loved the feel and the decor of the house, and our room was beautifully appointed with very authentic antique furniture and art. The grounds are lovely with interesting plants and fountains. The breakfast and snacks provided were excellent, and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. From the Simpson House, you can drive to almost any SB attraction in minutes, so we found the location to be excellent. It should be mentioned that our room was smaller than a typical hotel, and some bathrooms are separate from the room (but private). But overall, this was a delightful B & B, and we will return!

The accommodations were charming and comfortable. Everyone at the Inn was wonderful! The breakfasts were delicious and we ate on the porch served by lovely people and had our food served on beautiful china! Wonderful scones in the afternoon and delicious homemade cookies at night! A beautiful hors d'oeavres buffet each evening before we went out to dinner. The grounds are meticulous with lovely fountains and Adirondack chairs for sitting and relaxing. In my life I've have stayed at many lovely B&B's, inns and hotels but Simpson House ranks at the top of the list!

Wow! Simpson Inn was awesome, from the moment we parked in the large safe tucked away drive being greeted instantly, shown around the property in time for evening wine & hors d’oeuvres in the main house. Breakfasts were amazing sat outside on the veranda even on a February morning watching the squirrels play in the beautiful gardens. Cottage was so spacious, cozy with real fire, nice lounge area with complimentary refreshments, nice bathroom and comfortable bed even made use of the slippers and dressing gown. Could not believe we where two blocks away from the main State Street in Santa Barbara, did not need our car, was easy to walk to shops, restaurants and down to the main harbour and beach

Beautiful, quaint property. I stayed in the Hayloft Room which was bright and had a little balcony. Breakfast was delicious especially the pastries! The staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens were thoughtful laid out with little nooks to relax.

Fabulous breakfasts. Great afternoon hors d'oeuvres and wine - did not need to go out to dinner really! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded without us even asking. Very close to the main street in downtown Santa Barbara - easy walking to restaurants shops and sea front. Gardens surrounding the property were very pretty and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the good weather.

An exceptional property with the most professional staff. Greeted by Ameera who made us feel so welcome and gave us a wonderful tour of the property. Beautiful gardens and rooms. Delicious breakfast and complimentary snacks each day. By far the most beautiful Inn we’ve stayed in. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Simpson House is literally one of the best Inn experiences you could ask for. The facilities are immaculate, the grounds are lush and the staff is super accommodating. And the food (included!) is outstanding. Can't say enough. And my wife and have been there many times. Never disappointed. A must see if you're in Sant Barbara! :)
